Our company, Famous Five Dining, is the result of a life-long friendship. Mike & Tamara Lister and Doug & Laurel Renegar have friendships that started as early as high school and combined restaurant experience of more than 50 years. With God’s blessings, and SBA/MADC financing, we opened our first Famous Dave’s in 2001. Today we have five “Snout-standing” restaurants in Tennessee. We operate our business by what we call the “FD Rule”: Treat others BETTER than they expect to be treated. And we are firmly committed to the values that are our name: Faith, Family, Friends and Famous Food. Our commitment to “Famous” has earned us numerous community awards, such as Best Ribs, Best Barbecue, Friendliest Family Dining, and Best Restaurant. Additionally, we have received numerous recognitions by our Franchisor, Famous Dave’s of America, including Franchisee of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, and the Community Service Award. We are most proud of the blessings God has allowed us to share with others. Our annual Birdies, Bogies & Bones Golf Tournament has raised over $80,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
